How do I get my touchpad scrollbar to work on my Toshiba L305D Satellite laptop?
With every other laptop I have used, on the right side of the mouse pad you can scroll up and down and the screen will scroll up or down. Mine will not do that. And I looked through the guide and stuff that it came with and it said that you can program it to work, but when I did what it told me to do, it took me to the wrong spot and I have not found out how to do it.

Recalibrate the touchpad.
Follow the instructions carefully and make sure there is no other pointing devices attatched to the laptop.
Make sure the touchpad is correctly calibrated too.

I’ve disabled the touchpad on my laptop, the mouse is not working and I don’t know what button to “unchech”.
It says that my cordless mouse is working (it’s not though) – I’ve disabled the touchpad and now I have no access to anything (besides tabbing) – what key do I use to “uncheck” the disable touchpad?

90% of the laptops I’ve ever worked on use synaptics touchpad software.
I’d locate that from hp support.
From the keyboard…
Goto your control panel
start
run
type “control” (no quotes)
browse to mouse and other pointing devices…
You can tab across the top and then through a menu…
Hope this helps.

Laptop Touchpad won’t work?
Last night, I took apart my computer (not like I took everything out of it, just took the screen, keyboard, and top cover off) in order to fix a problem with the mouse buttons. I fixed the buttons, and put everything back together, powered it on, and it worked fine except for the entire mouse/touchpad assembly. I thought i might’ve done something wrong, so I took it back apart, and discovered that a little ribbon cable running from the touchpad assembly to the motherboard was disconnected. I plugged it back into its housing, and the mouse buttons and touchpad still wont work. Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Apperently it seems that mother board connection got wrong. So you need to visit the vendor now. Or try replugging (thats even more bad).

It might actually be the physical touchpad, despite all our innovations, if your fingers are sweaty/oil on the touchpad/putting too much pressure on it/etc it’ll act funny. Not saying that’s the issue, but it looks like you’ve tried everything else, try just wiping it off with a clean cloth, should start working like new again!
