i just purchased a laptop and the vertical scroll pad on the touchpad is not working?

1. Restart your computer, see if that works.
2. Call the company to ask about the problem.
3. Reinstall the driver for the mouse trackpad. There might be some issue with this.

left-click on the touchpad doesnt working?
I am having a problem – my left click button does not work on my laptop. My scroll pad and right click work just fine. And I can left click w/ my mouse. I also can not click by tapping on the scroll pad.
I can not figure out what is going on – any ideas?

Sorry none. I was going to say go to the store & buy some contact cleaner or tap on the glide pad but you’ve already tried that.

Got a new toshiba satellite l500 series laptop with windows 7…But suddenly one fine day the scroll feature of the touchpad stops working

Well if your laptop is within a year it should be under warranty and if you call the toshiba support line on their website they will fix it for free over the phone; or if you are half as stubborn as i am and hate tech support then you can go to the toshiba website and in the search bar type in “toshiba satellite 500 drivers” and find the driver for your touch pad there. You may have just had a small driver error that a new driver reinstall may fix right away. But the number is the best way to go. Good luck hope this all helps.

My laptop’s touchpad isn’t working correctly!?
my touchpad is connected to hardware…and it can sense my finger…but still…the pointer isn’t moving correctly…such as…if move pointer up…it starts clicking files by its self…sometimes moving only left and right…..guys…m not able to explain this
and ya…i had done every thing…re installed driver….pressed f7 or Fn buttons…but nothing happens..

my touchpad is somtimw working…sometime not…….this couldnt be inner prob…and btw i dont wanna take risk…i ordered a USB mouse

You may have to open the laptop and reseat the ribbon cable to the motherboard. It may have vibrated loose from wear and tear.
Check on-line and be sure you find the manual and follow the instructions carefully, NOTHING is put in or removed by force so be gentle so-as not to break it and cause further damage.
BE REAL CAREFULL!
Did you accidently spill something on the keyboard? If so, you may have to replace it, they are quite inexpensive on-line and if you follow directions carefull you can save lots of money doing it yourself. I have removed and replace Dell and HP keyboards in less than 1/2 hour, just taking my time. Good Luck

i tried using that scrollbar thing on the side of my laptops touchpad to scrollon firefox but it is not working. It works on IE. Should i get some driver or something?

Go to the laptop manufacturers website and update the latest drivers for the touchpad.
It doesnt matter what program you are running, it should be working for all of windows and its applications unless the application is programmed not to use that function.
