Lenovo Ideapad Y560p Touchpad Issue

My new laptop works fine and everything, but whenever I hold down a key on the keyboard the mouse will not move from its spot on the screen. I got the laptop for gaming so i kinda need that function. Does anyone know how to fix it?

(and i am not talking about an alternative fix – i.e. getting another mouse- i want the touchpad to work properly)

My mouse randomly stops working since installing Linux Mint 9?

l have installed Linux Mint 9 onto my laptop but my mouse has been having problems ever since. lt is a USB mouse because my laptop touchpad does not work, and it randomly stops working. First the ‘left’ mouse button stops working, and then all of it stops working altogether even though the laser light stays on? l have to keep on restarting my laptop and l am getting fed up with it. l have updated everything but that doesn’t seem to work. What else can l do?

You should not have installed Linux, Linux is horrible in general.

You’re probably going to have to find a way to get rid of linux entirely or buy a new laptop

I’d say start by buying a new mouse.

onli7832 answers:

Well, to begin with, make sure the mouse (touchpad) settings are correct:
If this does not fix the problem, download the ‘touchpad’ driver and any soft ware from the internet and install them. If this does not fix it replace the pad…

Why has the touch/mousepad on my laptop stopped working-arrow on screen doesn’t move and then jerks quickly?

Laptop just suddenly started doing it – the arrow on the screen is not ‘obeying’ the touchpad as usual. It doesn’t move at first and then suddenly jerks across the screen, making it harder to control. Also, some of the letter keys have stopped working first time you press them. Thanks!

Sounds more like , you have too much going on in the back ground.
Shut some programs down and run a virus scan like Avg 8 http://free.avg.com/ww.download-avg-anti-virus-free-edition
and clean out your registry use a safe registry cleaner like Regcure

All of these have free or trial versions.

HELP!! I My Laptop in-built touchpad and keyboard are not working!!?

I have a MSI VR400 laptop. Today I was checking some websites when suddenly my touchpad and keyboard stopped working. With a USB mouse and a USB keyboard, I tried everything from driver update to system restore but no good. I don’t have a clue what is wrong. I don’t even know if it is a software or a hardware issue. Please help me fix this. Any ideas will be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

If you don’t have any idea about its hardware or software issue.
Contact to your dealer or visit its website and see “Service and Support” Column.
