Can you play Riddle of the Sphinx on a laptop?
Can you play Riddle of the Sphinx on a laptop? the touch pad does not seem to be working to open the lock, you are supposed to left click and drag to input the combinations and release the left mouse button to select when you reach the correct number on the dial. but with my touchpad releasing left button does not select. I have to release and click a 2nd time and the game won’t accept my combo, (which is correct, I double checked it at game faqs) has anyone successfully played this w/out a mouse? or know a cheat code to bypass the combination locks?

What about picking up one a laptop mouse/portable mouse. These days you can get them cheap enough and would bypass the issue you’re having with the touchpad.

My laptop mouse pad wont work?
Yesterday in the middle of doing something, I all of a sudden couldnt left click anymore, so now I can only right click. I can move the mouse around with the touchpad but cant click on anything, and I can do a few things by just right clicking, but its really annoying. I’ve tried going into Mouse Settings, but i cant do anything because i cannot click on anything. How do i fix this? I was going to plug a mouse into it, but I came to find that there is not a place to plug one in to, and if i go and buy a wireless mouse, I’m afraid that i wont be able to get it to work without being able to left click. So, How do i fix this problem, or how can i plug a mouse into my laptop?
Thanks.
I cant tap to click either, I’ve tried that to.

For one, u can buy a usb mouse (not all are wireless) and secondly can u tap to click (like tap the touch pad to click, make sure ur settings for the touch pad are set to allow u to do that, my moms had its default at not allowing it lol) if u can click by taping it then id say ur button is broke lol, if its still under warrenty id take it back and get a new one, if ur not under warrenty id jus buy a usb mouse, or use the tap to click method lol

Please help, laptop mouse software issue?
I have a Lenovo Thinkpad T61 (7659) laptop running Windows Vista Business. For awhile now, the mouse software has been off as in the left button (the select click) does not work, ever. I can move around the mouse on the screen, scroll up and down with the trackpoint (red dot in middle of keyboard), and even right-click a menu. I have restore my laptop to factory settings a couple of times for various reasons, and it started after i did my last -last -last restoration. (tried twice since to solve mouse problem, obviously did not work). I also may have messed around just a little with the BIOS setup, but nothing too serious (could this be it?). I’ve also uninstalled and reinstalled the mouse software various times, but that did not help. Does anyone else have this on their Lenovo laptop? Since then, I’ve been using another mouse I connect to the laptop via USB port. I’m sick of it though, I can’t always carry around an extra bulky mouse, and it doesn’t change the fact that there’s still a problem. Also, my mouse issues stating above are regarding the the touchpad (when i click touching the touch-sensitive area), the touchpad‘s buttons (left doesn’t work), and the trackpoint’s buttons (left button doesn’t work. Please, any advice would be helpful.

In need of an IT expert
….?
My cousin’s just come to me with a laptop whose touchpad has suddenly “stopped working on it’s own accord” … I have no idea what she’s done to it, but apparently it was working fine yesterday. I doubt she’ll tell me HOW she did it, but is there any way on Windows Vista to change the Touchpad settings (ie, anyway to turn it off/on/sleep) ??
Both the touchpad and the left/right click buttons underneath do not work. They keyboard’s working fine, though, as are all other buttons.
Any ideas?

My brother has an aspire and he says there is actually a little button next to the touch pad. There should also be a very small LED light, either orange or blue, that indicates whether it is on/off.
I have and HP and it is the same type of set-up. Just a very small push button.
